NAIDOC Week - Homewares Drive for Bowman Johnson Hostel

  • Grown 21 Buchanan Street West End, QLD, 4101 Australia (map)

For 45 years, NAIDOC week has celebrated the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We feel it is important to acknowledge that the land that we work and live on was never ceded, and always was, and always will be Aboriginal land. As a commitment to helping to improve the lives of the First Nations people of our community, we will be donating 5% of our revenue during NAIDOC week to several local & national Indigenous organisations, including Sisters Inside, Murri Watch, and the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

In addition to this, we will be running a homewares drive for Bowman Johnson Hostel, an organisation that works tirelessly to help transition those experiencing homelessness into permanent accommodation. If you would like to help and get involved, the hostel is looking for the following items in good condition (used or new):

  • Kettles and toasters

  • Cutlery

  • Crockery

  • Cookware (pots and pans)

  • Irons

  • Linen

  • Pillows (New)

  • Towels (New)

  • Vacuums

  • Utensils

  • Whitegoods

Donations can be dropped off at Grown during the week, or alternatively please email us at hello@grownbne.com to arrange a pickup within Brisbane.

We appreciate all your help during NAIDOC week!
